What rights do you have?
Under the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG), you as the data subject have the following rights:
Right to information (Art. 25 DSG) – You can request information free of charge about the personal data we store and process about you.
Right to rectification (Art. 32(1) DSG) – If your data is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that it be corrected.
Right to erasure (Art. 32(2) DSG) – You can request that your data be erased if it is no longer needed or has been processed unlawfully.
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 32(2) GDPR) – If you request a review of the data, you can request that it be temporarily blocked.
Right to data portability (Art. 28 GDPR) – You have the right to receive your data in a machine-readable format or to transfer it to another provider.
Right to object – You can object to the processing of your data, in particular for direct marketing or non-mandatory analyses.
Right to withdraw consent – If you have consented to data processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time for the future.
Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 49 DSG) – If you believe that your data protection rights have been violated, you can lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) (www.edoeb.admin.ch).
